At Mountain Avenue Elementary, our PTA is more than just an organization—it’s a vibrant community of caregivers, teachers, and staff working together to create an enriching and joyful experience for every student.
From the Halloween Carnival to the Science Fair, campus beautification projects to family picnics, the PTA helps bring learning to life beyond the classroom. None of this would be possible without the time, talents, and generosity of our incredible volunteers and donors.
We are committed to building a PTA where all families feel welcomed, supported, and represented. Whether you have 30 minutes or 3 hours, there’s a place for you here—and your involvement makes a meaningful difference.

Mountain Avenue PTA invites all parents to share their time and talents. With a multitude of programs and events, we have a great variety of volunteering opportunities available. We are happy to include you in any volunteering effort, whether it is for an hour a week at home or at school or at a particular event that interests you. Your time, energy, and input are greatly appreciated and make a difference in the educational experience of your children!

Membership FAQ
Can anyone join?
Yes! An individual membership is open to all those who wish to support our PTA’s efforts. These include teachers and other school staff members; parents, children, grandparents, and other extended family; neighbors, coworkers, friends, and other community members.
Can my student join PTA?
Yes! In fact, it's encouraged to have students join.
I joined last year. Do I need to join again this year?
Yes, membership must be renewed annually.
I joined another school's PTA. Do I still need to join this PTA?
Yes, if you wish to support our Mountain Avenue PTA. Each school has its own PTA (i.e., unit) who oversees the use of its own funds.
