Social Studies Unit 2

(Lessons 4-5)

          Students will learn what artifacts reveal about why European explorers set sail for the New World.  They will discover what tools helped them make this journey.

     Next, they will read about eight European explorers and learn why they came to the New World.  Also, students will see how the explorers’ arrival affected the people who were already living there.
